Itinerary
Day 1 (Bangkok)
Arrive in Bangkok and take taxi to hotel (throughout the day)
2-6pm - Check into hotel and enjoy free time
6-9pm - Welcome dinner: Get to know each other and intro to the yoga tour and itinerary (and connection between Thailand and India, including Thai massage and yoga philosophy)
10pm - Return to hotel
Day 2 (Bangkok)
7-8am - Breakfast
9-11am - Visit the famous Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha (contains paintings of Ramayana)
12-1pm - Lunch
1-4pm - Free time
4-5:30 - Yoga asana and pranayama class (classical yoga style)
6-7:30pm - Mahanakhon Sky Tower and Sky Rides (with amazing views of Bangkok at sunset)
7:30-9pm - Dinner
10pm - Return to hotel
Day 3 (Bangkok)
7-8am - Breakfast
9am-12pm - Visit the famous ancient temples (UNESCO heritage sites) of Wat Po and Wat Arun
1-2pm - Lunch
2-4pm - Free time
4-5:30pm - Yoga asana and pranayama class (classical yoga style)
7-9:30pm - Chao Phraya River cruise (includes dinner buffet with vegetarian options)
9:30-10pm - Ferris wheel ride (amazing views of Bangkok at night)
10:30pm - Return to hotel
Day 4 (Bangkok → Chiang Rai)
8-9am - Breakfast
9:15am - Taxi to airport
11:30am - Flight to Chiang Rai
1:30pm - Shuttle pickup to resort
2-4pm - Check-in, relax, enjoy the resort
4-6pm - Yoga asana and pranayama class (Sivananda Yoga style)
6-7pm - Dinner (vegetarian buffet)
7-8pm - Free time
8-10pm - Satsang (meditation, kirtan, aarti, short yoga philosophy talk, etc.)
Day 5 and 6 (Chiang Rai)
6-8am - Morning satsang (guided meditation, kirtan, aarti, light yoga philosophy)
8-10am - Morning yoga asana and pranayama class (Sivananda Yoga style)
10-11am - Brunch (vegetarian buffet)
11am-2pm - Free time (relax, rest, read, journal, swim, walk, enjoy the resort)
2-3:30pm -Yoga philosophy lecture/workshop
3:30-4pm - Free time
4-6pm - Afternoon yoga asana and pranayama class (Sivananda Yoga style)
6-7pm - Dinner (vegetarian buffet)
7-8pm - Free time
8-10pm - Evening satsang (guided meditation, kirtan, aarti, light yoga philosophy)
Day 7 (Chiang Rai)
6-8am - Morning satsang (optional)
9am - Leave in air-conditioned van to unique local trips
10am-12pm - Golden Triangle boat ride (Thailand-Myanmar-Laos), coffee or coconut water and light souvenir shopping.
12pm-2pm - Lunch at restaurant with amazing views of Chiang Rai hills
3-3:45pm - Lalitta Cafe experience with waterfall (not your typical cafe)
4-5:15pm - Check into hotel and free time (yoga self-practice)
5:15-5:30 - Tuk-tuk ride into town
5:30-7:30pm - Akha Thai yoga massage
7:30-9pm - Dinner (Indian restaurant)
9-10pm - Chiang Rai Night Bazaar
10pm - Return to hotel (tuk-tuk)
Day 8 (Chiang Rai → Chiang Mai)
9-10:45am - Breakfast and free time (or yoga self-practice)
11am-12pm - White Temple (famous temple in Chiang Rai)
12:15-1:45 - Central Plaza (Thai mall experience and lunch on your own)
1:45-2pm - Return to hotel to get luggage
2:30-6pm - Old Bus Station to take VIP bus to Chiang Mai
6-6:30pm - Arrive in Chiang Mai, taxi to hotel, check in
6:30-7:30pm - Free time (rest, relax, yoga self-practice)
7:45-9:30pm - Dinner (Special restaurant for the north’s famous khao soi - Thai coconut curry noodle soup)
10pm - Return to hotel
Day 9 (Chiang Mai)
8-9am - Breakfast at the hotel
9am-1pm - Thai Cooking Class (includes lunch, traditional Thai market and herb garden tour and cookbook with all the recipes)
2-6pm - Free time (yoga self-practice, Thai yoga massage, explore Chiang Mai, etc. on your own)
6:30-9:30pm - Sunday Night Market (including dinner on your own)
10pm - Return to hotel
Day 10 (Chiang Mai)
7-7:30am - Early breakfast at hotel
7:30-8am - Pickup at hotel
8am-6pm:
Elephant sanctuary (feed and bathe elephants in their natural habitat, not caged or circus elephants)
Doi Ithanon National Park (Thailand’s highest point)
Trekking with local Karen hill tribe (amazing waterfalls and views along the way)
6-7:30pm - Drop off at hotel
8-9:30pm - Dinner
10pm - Return to hotel
Day 11 (Chiang Mai)
6-10am - Breakfast at the hotel and packing time
11am and after - Depart to airport . . . Bon voyage . . . Till the next Educare Yoga Tour!
